Working on that next marathon? Maybe starting out on your first 5k? Perhaps you just want
to get to the "next level?" Runners' Choice supports free group training 52 weeks of the year. Here's the schedule:
The Running Dragons
Five, eight, and ten km fun runs from the Brew Pub at 34 Clarence Street every
Monday night at 6pm. Nobody is too slow or too fast to take part. Come for a great run, stick
around for a bit of social time afterward.
You can still sign up for the 2006 season (you fairweather runner you). Come to the Brew Pub this Monday night and sign up...and remember, you'll get that one-of-a-kind Running Dragons' long-sleeve t-shirt!
Speed and Strength
Meet at the Fort Henry Ticket Booth Tuesday afternoon @ 5:45 for a 45 minute session of workouts coached by Al Cantlay from
Runners' Choice If you're just starting out, or an elite runner (and everyone in between), this group will help you find more speed, and help you avoid injuries.
Women's Running Group
Sorry guys, this is a women's-only group that meets at Runners' Choice
for a
very special workout every Thursday night at 6. All speeds and distances welcome! This is your
opportunity to run with some of Kingston's most dedicated female athletes, and get in a bit of social time
while you're at it!
Sunday Long Runs
If the idea of getting one long slow run in every week is just too daunting, or if you're
looking for some company on those long days, Runners' Choice has the perfect solution. Every
week, all year long our Sunday Long Runs leave the Second Cup on Princess Street (right across from
Runners' Choice) at 8:30am. Course is always out-and-back, so nobody gets left behind. All
speeds and distances are welcome (we have people who run 40 minutes and others who go 2 1/2 to three hours,
plus everyone in between). C'mon and join the crowd!
