On December 23rd, Runners’ Choice held their annual Santa Run in support of the Foodbank.

Runners’ Choice staff elf Ben donned the elf shoes and hat to lead this group of 50 runners through the streets of Kingston. From the youngest (2 yrs old) to the oldest (undisclosed age), everyone had a great time. After completing this 6 km route runners enjoyed treats and draw prizes for everyone. Runners donated $200 and three bins of food to the Foodbank.

Thanks to everyone who came out to make this such a great day!

Have you got a runner on your Christmas list?

We’ve got lots of great gift ideas.

How about some winter running gear to keep them warm and dry – tights, thermal tops, windproof jackets. Or … hats, gloves, socks and a thermal tube to keep your neck warm. For the techie runner we’ve got heart rate monitors, running watches and Yurbuds to listen to your music. And lots more.

Our staff would be happy to help you find something special – we’re all runners and can give you ideas based on our experience.

Stop in and have a look around.

The Road to Rio

Kingston native Dylan Wykes made his Olympic debut in the men's marathon at the 2012 London Summer Games. He posted a top-20 finish with a time of 2:15:26, making him the first Canadian to cross the line in the grueling heat.

Now Dylan has set his sights on Rio 2016 and the Canadian marathon record. Help us support Dylan as he strives to make history as the fastest Canadian marathoner of all time. Your donation will help cover Dylan's training and living costs, including his travel expenses as he competes and represents Canada at marquee races around the globe.

Donate online by using the PayPal button below, or in person at Runners' Choice (56 Brock Street, Kingston, ON) or any of the three branches of the Kingston Community Credit Union.

Thank you for your support!
