Big Gun Run

The innaugural Big Gun Run will be taking place at historic Fort Henry on Sunday, August 31. This challenging 5k course will take runners up and down the hills surrounding the fort, and finish on the parade square. Come by the store to sign up, or register online here.

Run the ING Miama Marathon or Half-Marathon and then join us on a 7-day Eastern Caribbean Cruise!

We'll be hosting an information session at the store on Thursday, June 19th at 7:00 p.m. Come by for refreshments and draw prizes!

Sunday, June 1 - Beat Beethoven! Race with us, then check out the latest in technical running from New Balance at the NB Tent in Confederation Park.
Thursday, June 5 - Etonic Test Run. The Etonic brand is the newest addition to our extensive shoe wall. Come to the store at 5:30 p.m. to see for yourself what all the buzz is about.
Thursday, June 19 - Mizuno Product Showcase. Starting at 5:30 p.m., a technical representative from Mizuno will be on hand to display and explain the new line and answer questions.
Thursday, June 19 - Miami Marathon Cruise Info Session. The ING Miami Marathon and Half-Marathon takes place in February. What better way to beat the winter blahs than by running a marathon in Florida, then following it up with a Carribean cruise! Come to the store at 7:00 p.m. for all the info.
Thursday, June 26 - adidas Test Run. Experience the Brand with Three Stripes during a test run hosted by Runners' Choice. Shoe fitting starts at 5:30 p.m. Arrive on time to make sure you can try a pair!

Tuesday Night Indoor Track Workouts!

January 22nd through February 26th, we'll be hosting a series of coached indoor track workouts at the Kingston Military Community Sports Centre. Be on the track at 5:45 pm to warm up. Admission is free for KMCSC members, and a day pass is about $6 for non-members.

There is the lunch hour run which leaves Runners' Choice at 12:15 for a thirty minute run. And, a group run leaving Runners' Choice at 6pm. All ages and abilities welcome. Hope to see you running!

The Long Weekend

Yup, the May long weekend is almost here. It's the perfect weekend to get outdoors and get moving. You could start off with the Ladies' run on Thursday night, 6pm at the store (sorry guys, you'll have to find something else to do). Then, Sunday morning meet at Second Cup (across the street) at 8:30am for a long run (you can define "long" however you want!). Get out and get moving!

Race Kit Pick-Up Delayed

Unfortunately, the race kit pick-up scheduled for Friday at the store has been delayed. Race kits for the Limestone Race Weekend will be available at Runners' Choice on Saturday from 11am to 4pm, as previously scheduled. Kits for the Half-Marathon and 5k will also be available at Confederation Basin on Sunday morning.

There are still Brooks CoolTex shirts available for last minute registrants! You can register with cash or cheque here at Runners' Choice.

Spring cleaning

We cleaned up the store, now it's time to tidy up the website. It's going to be more informative, more up-to-date, and more fun to visit! For starters, we're about to implement a cool new feature; Pic of the Day! Soon, you'll be able to submit your very own running-related pictures, and a new image will be displayed every day of the year. Look for that feature to be active next week. Also, the buttons at the top of the page aren't really buttons... but they will be soon!

Be sure to stop by the store to register for one (or more!) of the three races scheduled for the Limestone City Race Weekend, April 28 and 29. There's a 5k, a 10k, and a half-marathon. If you can't make it to the store, you can click here to register online.
